The farcical tale tells of corrupt town officials’ terrified reaction of the news that an incognito inspector will soon be arriving in their town to investigate them, resulting in a flurry of chaotic activity to cover up their considerable misdeeds.

Students may only submit their work once, meaning each year is a completely unique experience for both those involved and for those watching the shows. The festival showcases a wide variety of new plays from one-man shows to musicals.
“These films are definitely interesting. I chose them because they show our appreciation, yet respect, for nature are self-propelled with a good storyline and align with how we represent ourselves as a club,” said Skaien.

“It was so easy to hate Shayar for what he does, [but I wanted] to make him, in some ways, relatable and pitied. The tale is really one of redemption for him and it’s about [the] ingenuity and love that Scheherezade brings into his life."
