Women’s volleyball team took on the McEwan University Griffins this weekend on Friday and Saturday, beating them in both games to maintain their position in the Canada West conference and tying at second with sister school UBC Okanagan.
The women’s hockey team split their weekend against the Calgary Dinos. The Thunderbirds took the first game with a score of 3-2 on Friday and fell to the same team in a double overtime 4-3.

After last week’s win against the St. FX X-Men in the Uteck Bowl, the only barrier that remains in UBC football’s way to winning their first Vanier Cup since 1997 is the Montreal Carabins —the defending national champions.
