This past Saturday, the UBC Thunderbirds defended their perfect record as they faced off against Capilano RFC tallying yet another win. UBC scored early as Brock Staller was able to capitalize on two penalty kicks giving the 'Birds an early 6-0 lead.

Men’s basketball were dealt a tough loss by the Regina Cougars on Saturday night. After trailing close behind Regina for three quarters of the game, the Thunderbirds managed to tie the score before falling 83-79.
UBC will be hosting an NBA skills competition Saturday at the Student Rec Centre. The event will have a skills competition, a three-point shootout and a slam-dunk contest. The winner could win a trip to the NBA All-Star Game in Toronto.
