RCMP reported UBC Sociology Professor Sinikka Gay Elliott missing on Thursday.
In a press release, Salt Spring RCMP reported that it received a missing person report on May 12 at 2:15 p.m. Elliott had left home to do some errands and had not been seen since. RCMP and search and rescue have located her vehicle on Juniper Place Road.
“Police and family are concerned for Sinikka’s well being,” Corporal Madonna Saunderson wrote in the release.
Elliott is 5 foot 3 inches, has a slim build, has short dark brown hair, and was last seen wearing a red sweater, jeans and brown boots.
