Daniel Lam has won the race for VP Academic.
Lam ran unopposed for this position on a campaign of affordability, equity and inclusion, and the student experience.
“I knew I was going to get it given that this race was uncontested, but it’s a big moment for me,” said Lam. “When I was younger and I was diagnosed with high functioning autism, I was told I wouldn’t be able to graduate high school and I wouldn’t be able to go to university. The fact that I was able to do all of those things and be able to prove people wrong — even now being an AMS executive — this is a really proud moment.”
“My parents have given me so much support over the past few weeks and I’m very, very excited to see what we will do in the next year,” he said.
