Body found near SW Marine and Wesbrook Mall

The University RCMP and the RCMP E Division Major Crime Section are investigating after a body of a male was found in a wooded area near SW Marine Drive and Wesbrook Mall.

According to a press release by the University RCMP on July 16, the RCMP received information on July 15 that a deceased person had been found in the area. The police later located the body.

There are no general public risks at the moment due to the “decomposed nature of the remains.”

“The BC Coroners Service is conducting a parallel investigation to determine the details and circumstances of the death of the deceased,” the press release reads.
