Ava Nasiri was announced tonight as president of the AMS.
“I'm absolutely humbled by all the support. Humbled and honoured, that's all I got,” said Nasiri.
Her win came as something of a surprise to her — she told The Ubyssey that she hadn't been expecting it.
“I had no idea. Jenna is so phenomenal and amazing and talented and hard-working that I had absolutely no idea, it was hard to judge,” she said. “All I can say is respect and thank you.”
