The AMS is hosting its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on October 19 from 7–8:30 p.m. on Zoom.
The AGM is an opportunity for the AMS to inform students about important updates. Unlike AMS Council or committee meetings, the AGM provides students the ability to give direct input on things they care about.
The issues students have input on can range in importance from minor bylaw changes to huge administrative shifts
Last year, students voted to formalize the AMS's support for CUPE 2278's unionization efforts and called on UBC to provide long-term food security funding and a tuition freeze or reduction.
The agenda for the meeting has yet to be released but will be uploaded on the AMS website closer to the date.
