Abhi Mishra will be the AMS’s next VP finance.
Mishra defeated current Associate VP Finance Linda Zheng to succeed outgoing VP Finance Lawrence Liu.
“I am excited, although I am pretty shocked,” Mishra said. “I’m overwhelmed, and I just want to thank everyone who decided to place their trust in me.”
Mishra ran on a platform of establishing long-term funding for the AMS Food Bank, improving communication and accountability and supporting students in finding off-campus housing.
“I guess for me, it’s going back to work now.”
Mishra’s term as VP finance will begin on May 1.
