Were you Wonder-ing what was filming today on Main Mall? The Old Auditorium was host to a film called Wonder, starring Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson and Jacob Tremblay — the adorable boy from last year's award-winning Room.
Based on R.J. Palacio's novel of the same name, Tremblay plays a young boy named Auggie Pullman. The film centres around Auggie, who has a facial deformity, as he struggles to fit into a new school. Roberts plays Auggie's mother and Owen Wilson plays his father. Yes, the stars are shining bright on campus today.
With a throwback to high school, Stephen Chbosky — author and director of The Perks of Being a Wallflower — will be directing Wonder. We can expect to see our campus once again hit the silver screen in April, 2017.
