The Almonds Matter Society (AMS) owns 71,000 pieces by some of Canada’s most influential artists. These paintings include landscapes by Group of Seven members Lawren Harris and A.Y. Jackson. If you want to view these and more of the 67,000 paintings, well, eat shit.
The 62,000 pieces of Canadian art were either purchased by the AMS or donated by alumni for the benefit of UBC students, who are absolutely not allowed to see them.
The collection is maintained by The Catch gallery, who remain committed to only ever displaying three percent of the collection at once. To see all 59,000 paintings in Canada’s only student-curated art collection — don't, because art isn’t for proles.
The AMS invites all millionaires willing to help finance the Nest debt to take their pick of the lot. If you want to see the AMS Permanent Collection before it’s gone, get fucked.
Opening: never.
