On October 11, experience the tastiest race UBC has to offer — The Great Pancake Race. The event will be hosted by the UBC United Way campaign, an organization dedicated to strengthening a community’s capacity to address social issues.
The event’s main goal is to raise awareness for the United Way while having fun. The race will take place in the Student Rec Centre at 12 p.m. All the pancakes, aprons and pans will be provided for the race and costumes are encouraged. Everyone is welcome to join — just make sure if you want to participate in the actual race to register your team here so there will be enough pancakes to go around. The deadline to register is this Friday, October 8.
Also, if you needed any more reason to join in on this event, there will be prizes from UBC Food Services:
- First place = $30 per person
- Second place = $20 per person
- Third place = $15 per person
- Best costume = $30 per person
