Upon arrive at work this morning, UBC Engineering Dean Marc Parlange was surprised to find that, overnight, his office had been transformed into a barnyard.
The unknown culprits set up a small goat habitat in the dean's office and filled it with two five-week-old kids. The animals were in the office for several hours, with bottle feedings by the Dean attracting a crowd of onlookers.
Although a miniature cairn was left at the scene of the crime, and the prank may seem to have "engineers" written all over it, the EUS has denied all knowledge of and responsibility for the goats' relocation. And we, of course, believe them. After all, such behaviour would come as a major departure from the faculty's current state (seen in the inactivity of the engineers during E-Week and April Fools').
