It's midterm season and we could all use a change. Here to help you look good for a great cause is the UBC Cancer Association’s biggest annual event this Monday, March 6 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Cuts for Cancer is an event open to all of the UBC community, but is specifically looking for hair donations of eight inches or more. The goal of the event is to make wigs for children suffering from medical hair loss at BC Children’s Hospital.
Even if you don’t have eight inches to donate, you can still stop by and get a haircut for only $15, which will go towards cancer research and treatment through the Canadian Cancer Society. For those donating the eight inches, your haircut will be free!
The UBC Cancer Association is working alongside On the Fringe Hair Design, which is located in the basement of the Nest and where the event will be held. You can drop in or make a reservation, but they are welcoming everyone who comes!
