CPR and AED knowledge are practically invaluable in today’s society. Knowing how to provide proper CPR and AED assistance can make a life-saving difference to another person. Both are easy to memorize and accessible tools, so why not know how to properly use them?
Today only in the Nest, you can learn how to provide CPR and learn the basic instructions for an AED machine in just half an hour. Running from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., UBC students, staff and visitors are welcome to join these short sessions and learn critical skills that could come in handy at any time. At the end of the session, participants will know what signs that indicate a need for CPR, how to properly call and receive help from medical professionals, the basic CPR procedures and how to listen and respond to an AED machine when necessary.
