No more will you have to schlep yourself all the way to the village A&W for that meat substitute.
As of January 16, you’ll be able to waltz into that fourth floor bar and demand a burger that lacks animal protein and the person at the register will be forced to give it to you in exchange for money. Crazy!
For those not in the loop, Beyond Meat is a meat substitute which was developed in LA in 2009. Its national fame started when A&W offered the Beyond Meat burger, which was so popular that it led to a shortage across Canada. While the burgers are now available once again at A&W, who wants to walk across a street for a burger?
So, if staying plant-based while getting shit-faced is your thing, wash down that beer with a vegetarian burger.
