The annual UBC flu immunization campaign for students, faculty and staff is back this week.
The event is running between October 31 to November 9 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at both The Nest and the Life Sciences Centre. The campaign aims to provide everyone on campus with the flu vaccine and works on a first-come first-serve basis, free of charge.
The campaign emphasizes on the importance of being prepared regardless of how healthy one might be. Especially because of the close proximity in which we work, study and socialize at the university, there is a higher risk of the flu spreading and affecting many.
As a student, it can be hard to carve out time to take care of your health, but in the long run you will appreciate it. Studying is difficult enough as is, but studying with the flu is nearly impossible.
More information about the specific dates and locations of the flu shot clinics along with other important information about influenza can be found on the website. Don’t hesitate to get a flu shot today before it is too late!
