UBC Players Club: Festival Dionysia (March 13–16, various times, The NEST Theatre)
Continuing an annual tradition, UBC Players Club will present six new short plays by up-and-coming Vancouver artists about dystopia, identity and existential questioning.

UBC Brewfest 2024 (March 15, 6 p.m., Great Hall)
There’s no need to travel far for craft beer this St. Patrick’s Day. Try some from a number of breweries without even leaving the Nest — and stay for an afterparty at The Pit!

Velvet Terrorism: Pussy Riot’s Russia at The Polygon (March 21, 6 p.m.–9 p.m., The Polygon Gallery)
This new exhibit highlights the performances and street activism of the feminist art collective Pussy Riot, which was formed in Moscow in 2011 in opposition to Russia’s increasingly authoritarian government. The exhibit is open from March 22–June 2, but the opening celebration and artists’ talk is on March 21.

Boom! Pro Wrestling at the Nest (March 22, 6:30 p.m., AMS Nest)
Boom! Pro Wrestling, in collaboration with CiTR, will be hosting a roster of professional wrestlers for a tournament in the Nest. It’s not just wrestling — follow along for engaging storytelling and epic tales of intense rivalries.

UBC Musical Theatre Troupe: Anything Goes (April 6–7, various times, Performance Works)
Disguises, tap dancing and blackmail — Anything Goes has got it all. UBC MTT brings the story of a love triangle unfolding onboard a luxury cruise ship to life in this year’s spring production.

UBC Opera: Così fan tutte (April 4–7, Old Auditorium)
UBC opera students present Mozart’s timeless classic about love and its vices. Ferrando and Guglielmo make a bet with philosopher Alfonso to test the faithfulness of their fiancées, Fiordiligi and Dorabella, but start to doubt their devotion to their lovers.

UBC Theatre & Film: Saint Joan of the Stockyards (April 4–13, Frederic Wood Theatre)
Loosely based on the story of Joan of Arc, Bertolt Brecht’s work follows the battle between a woman fighting for justice and the owner of a meat-packing plant. UBC theatre students present their reimagining, adapting the play for our current reality.

Bang! Festival (April 17, 12 p.m.–7:30 p.m., Barnett Hall)
