The VP Administration portfolio covers many things. Because of the many things they must do, the VP Admin must be able to keep a cool head even when dealing with stressful issues. So how well did the VP Admin candidates deal when we asked them some silly questions? Pretty well!

The limit does not exist! If they're good quality. But my Vans usually gets holes after 2 years.

I have a lot of practice, so yes!

Eek, definitely not!

How many whales have you seen in your life?
I don't know an exact number but I would guess over 30 under 50? I loved the Vancouver Aquarium growing up. I used to draw pictures for the Orca's and hold them up against the glass!

Can you skateboard?
Regrettably no. I'm more of a bike gal!

What was your high school mascot?
A Seahawk!

Depends on whether you have a quiz at the end! I l once walked in one hour late (oops!) for a tutorial, because I wasn't about to lose 10% for missing my quiz.

Describe the worst haircut you’ve ever had.
Taking the word "haircut" literally, the worst haircut I ever had was done by me, when I was 6 years old, and I decided to cut off my eyelashes for no reason. There are two contrasting takeaways from this: I'm dangerous with scissors or I'm commendable with scissors for not losing an eye.

When the Sharpie marks covering the peeling become too obvious.

Between Buchanan and the Music School buildings! Never thought having that one random tutorial in Laserre (Lassere? Lasserre?) would come in handy.

Over 100, if you count dolphins as whales!

Can you skateboard?
Signed up to a summer camp to learn with my brother. Two days in, I saw him break his arm falling down a ramp and I got scarred for life. TL;DR: no.

What was your high school mascot?

Sharks! My school was originally located at the shore of Lake Nicaragua, which, fun fact, is the only freshwater lake with oceanic fauna (including sharks).

There’s no such thing. Walking in with 2 minutes left in lecture? A power move honestly.

Straight from the playlist I made my girlfriend, it has to be Get You by Daniel Caesar (ft. Kali Uchis). That song is PURE feels.

Describe the worst haircut you’ve ever had.
Any haircut I had before age 12. It was basically a bowl cut. I’ll deny it to anyone I talk to that it was truly a bowl cut, but let's be honest, it was a bowl cut.

How long is too long to own a pair of shoes?
Depends how much you spent on them! If you dropped over $200 on those puppies, you better rock them for as long as possible. Less than $200? I’d say 3 years max.

Do you think you could beat me (Thomas O'Donnell) in a game of Connect 4?
Absolutely not. I’m terrible at Connect 4, and I’m not sure what that says about me.

Absolutely. From the Ubyssey Offices in the Nest, head west along East Mall, then turn left on Memorial Rd when you hit Buchanan Tower. Head south to that fancy thing that makes your voice echo on Main Mall, and then look ahead to your right and you’ll find it! How do I know this? Putting up too many damn posters.

How many whales have you seen in your life?
Too many to count, it has to be over 100 individual animals. If someone asked me what my secret talent is, it’s seeing animals in ocean. Orcas along the coast? Seen them. Blue whales in the St. Lawrence? Spotted. Humpbacks in Australia? Check. You’ve just been flexed on by a whale watching expert. Weird flex you say? You’re probably right.

Can you skateboard?
I’ve tried, and failed. Probably just didn’t practice enough or have the interest to be able to. If you elect me as your next VP Admin, I promise I’ll work 10 billion times harder than how much I worked on those skater skills.

What was your high school mascot?
The colour orange. No, I’m not kidding, literally the colour orange. Our school team name was the William Aberhart Orange, like the Syracuse Orange. Lame? Beyond lame actually. The best creativity our school could ever muster up for a mascot was someone dressed up in an orange MorphSuit. Everyone in the entire city made fun of us for it. Sad! (like so, so sad).
