"By voting “yes” in this year's referendum, you could make generations of students healthier and happier by giving those that want it the space to move with purpose. It is a gift that I view as immeasurably important."
The AMS has launched an additional poster-based campaign with the same orange and purple “Vote Yes.” The pitch is notably different: “To sell art from the AMS art collection so that the proceeds can go back into benefiting the AMS.”
I quickly realized however that a campus did not entail an atmosphere. Fortunately though, I lived in a first-year residence, meaning I was surrounded by others who were keen to mingle and blow off steam caused by the stresses of student life.

“I’m not saying to point the blame at anyone in particular, but this alarming lack of female presence in student government does speak to a Canada-wide and worldwide issue, and should be a concern and an important topic of conversation here at UBC.”
"Don't do it over text because tone is so easy to misunderstand with text. Be honest and say that their jokes have crossed a line. Tell them what you wrote me and tell them the level they've been going at isn't appropriate anymore."
“If any one of you trusts UBC’s administration, taken as a whole, to be forthcoming with information, I’d point to the handling of Stephen Galloway, #GuptaGate and the sexual assaults which came to light earlier last year.”
“Agenda items can seem long, mysterious and confusing without the proper background, making it difficult to see how these issues affect students. Here’s what to watch out for in the upcoming AMS Council meeting taking place on March 1.”
Almost every day is punctuated with a “want to get coffee?” when we get bored and need that sweet, frothy fix. Usually we go to Uppercase, but on those occasions when we really want to treat ourselves, we go to Loafe.
