According to VP Finance Alim Lakhiyalov, the AMS may consider the possibility of dropping food prices for their Nest businesses sometime in the next fiscal year. During November 22 AMS Council meeting, Lakhiyalov presented that Nest businesses have been doing better than expected for the second quarter (Q2) of the current fiscal year.
A Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) outlet is moving into the Nest, replacing the frozen yogurt shop Qoola that is being sued by the AMS for failing to pay over two years of rent.
The issue of climate change is at the forefront for the UBC community. Yesterday, the climate town hall conference was held in the lower atrium of the Nest and was hosted by a collective of UBC clubs, providing interactive booths and three separate discussion sessions on ways to engage climate change and climate justice.
