The Dropbike bike share system, which arrived on campus this month, will allow commuters to temporarily rent bikes at central “havens” or regular bike racks around campus.

UBC has announced that the Irving K. Barber School of Arts and Sciences (IKBSAS) — which includes about 50 per cent of students enrolled at its Okanagan campus — will soon be under external review for the first time since the campus was created in 2005.
AMS Council has approved a fossil fuel-free mandate in the society’s investment policy yesterday, after hearing interests about this divestment at its June 20 Council meeting.

Directly student-funded groups are asking the AMS to “repeal and reimagine” a quarterly financial report structure that was introduced earlier this month, citing concerns about limited consultation and added labour.

“The amount of tickets available to UBC students will still remain the same,” said Hamid. “The tickets sold to UBC students will also be the same price.”
Without a UBCSUO representative, the 13-member committee’s only Okanagan member was Associate Vice-President of Students Ian Cull, whose office reports directly to Vancouver's VP Students.
