Last week, we published the NSF's science literacy quiz. Overall, us UBCers are way more scientifically literate than the average American. So congrats, even if it is a small victory. But the results also showed some gaps in UBC’s science knowledge.

The Thunderbird Sports Clubs just added five new teams to their roster for the 2016-2017 season. The quidditch, water polo, cycling sport, dragon boat and equestrian teams will all be making the switch from AMS Club to Thunderbird Sports Club.

Sole VP Finance candidate Louis Retief sat down at this year’s Great Debate to discuss topics such as AMS businesses, fee restructuring and the current fee referendum. The first question asked what makes him different from previous VP Finances.

Moderator Gordon Katic had candidates name different resource groups, frats and sororities until VP Admin hopefuls Alan Ehrenholz and Chris Scott ran out. Scott won, garnering himself a plaque with the AMS motto.
