The holidays are right around the corner and that means one thing — all the baked goods in the world. Stay tuned for the next few weeks for some delicious recipes that are simple to make and are guaranteed to impress your family.
Hearthstone somehow isn’t an actual physical card game. Then again, instead of being a Thunderbird and making coach Butenschon proud, I’m still playing NHL games on my PlayStation, so who am I to judge?
The T-Birds would actually win five out of six relays over the weekend, losing only the men’s 4x100m medley relay to the University of Alberta Golden Bears. Switching back to individual events, the men’s 50m freestyle was dominated by the ’Birds.
“[The men’s team was] ranked number one for a good chunk of the year and even with a mile to go, we were leading in the race and just faltered in the last 1,600 meters,” said Primeau. “I think they’re already all hungry for 2017.”

On December 6, 1989, an armed man walked into an engineering class at l’École Polytechnique de Montréal, and after stating that he hated feminists, began shooting women in class, killing 14 and injuring 10 others.
This week, a male symbol appeared on top of the UBC Engineering cairn one day before our annual 14 Not Forgotten Memorial Ceremony. We don’t know the goal, the club or their message, but we do know how it made us feel.
Over 200 UBC students have signed a petition asking UBC to cut ties with Amin Lalji, who sits on the board of directors for the Centre of Social Innovation and Impact Investing , until workers in his hotel are paid a "living wage."
If you see red ribbons around campus next week, don’t mistake them for early Christmas decorations. Chances are they were put up to raise awareness for World AIDS Day which has been held on December 1 since 1988.
On November 22, UBC spent the day welcoming its new president, Dr. Santa Ono. After an installation ceremony and celebration concert, Santa hosted a forum of four talks centred on the theme of discovery.
