On Thursday UBC announced that it has been the target of what they are identifying as a “brute force attack” against their identity management infrastructure. Students and staff may be asked to reset their passwords as a result of the attack.
The UBC Film Society is proudly debuting two short films that they produced this year tonight at 6 p.m. at the Norm Theatre in the Old SUB. After the shorts are given their worldwide premier, a “secret” screening of a film will be shown.
A social enterprise is a business that can make profits, but that has a mandate to reinvest those profits back into society to fulfill a greater social need, from hiring people with barriers to employment, to the commitment of buying local produce.
There's a ramshackle quality to most of the structures and it's an interesting juxtaposition to see a group of men and women wearing their finer clothing while standing with the mountains and forests in the background, looking thoroughly out of place
Currently there are three major university administrations positions being filled by interim personnel. So who are these new officials, why did the old ones leave and what do they even do within the university?
