If you find yourself unable to study at home because you can distract yourself with literally anything else, then the library is always there for its ambience of productivity. UBC is home to a plethora of them, but they’re not all built the same.

Stoll and Fairbrother’s primary research surveyed young women from across eight high income countries (all OECD countries) and proposed a question to them: when they were pregnant and about to deliver, would they choose a natural delivery or non-medically required c-section?

UBC is working to establish a separate trust, which will ideally let the university invest hugely in their own student housing without the caps of provincial borrowing. After working for years to come up with alternative funding solutions without real success, this may finally allow the university to fund an accelerated construction of student residences.
