Charmingly decorated with over 100 lanterns, including flowers, bees and jars, the event featured a wide range of activities for students and community members to participate in and reflect on how they connect to the garden space from creative festival activities, to lantern exhibits.
The international movement will culminate in a mass gathering in Paris on December 12 after the talks conclude. In the latest episode of UBC making their own rules and then breaking them, the university plans to build private housing on academic land.
Recommendations include increased operating grants to universities in BC, resources for open education initiatives such as the BC Open Textbook Program, and a needs-based grant system for BC students.
The University, in conjunction with Translink, is changing the proposed design of the bus loop. Construction is slated to begin November 2016.
